§ 09 — Colophon

On the typography, the palette, the principles, and the single email address at the bottom.

This manual was set as a deliberate counter-statement to the typical "portfolio website." No hero gradient, no autoplay video, no availability orb. A reader's tool, not a showreel.

§ 09.2  —  Principles that shaped this
01

A portfolio is a document, not a landing page.

The manual format — paged sections, margin notes, a dateline on every entry — is a commitment. It asks to be read, not skimmed. That constraint rules out hero videos, autoplaying animation, and anything that blinks.

02

Type does the heavy lifting. Not colour or motion.

One serif for reading, one mono for data. Two weights each, one accent colour. Hierarchy comes from size, italics, and rule weight — the same tools a typesetter had a century ago.

03

If I don't know it, I don't display it.

Every metric on every page is either live-fetched or explicitly marked as a placeholder waiting for real data. Fake counters and rounded-off stat-slop would undermine the whole document.

04

Private work gets named, not shown.

The bulk of my hours went to Apple, AccTech, and Softzino under NDA, before the move to DTU for a Master's. The manual summarises what I worked on and for whom, without publishing screenshots, internal architecture, or client code. Honest gap over fabricated filler.

05

Readable on a phone in a taxi at midnight.

Everything reflows to a single column, nav rail collapses to a strip, type scales down but never slips under a comfortable reading size. The manual should work as well on a 390-pixel screen as on a 27-inch monitor.

Public repos, open-source experiments, the occasional gist. Private client work stays under NDA.

No contact form. No Calendly. No chat widget. If it's worth saying, it's worth an email — and every reply is from me, not an assistant. The tradeoff is that I'm a little slower to respond; the upside is you always reach an actual person.
